Locked Out of SSO? How to Avoid It
If you stay logged into your SSO on multiple devices (even personal computers and phones) without logging out each time, ClassLink has a security feature that may lock your account. Lockouts will last for 15 minutes or whatever number of “seconds” are listed in the error message.
Lockouts will also occur for 15 minutes after 5 failed SSO login attempts. DO NOT attempt to login again until that time has expired. Try Resetting your SSO Password.
Make sure to LOG OUT of your SSO account using the dropdown in the upper right of your SSO’s main screen, don’t just close your internet browser, SIGN OUT.
To logout of multiple devices at a time while logged into your SSO (make sure your profile is set to “Staff-2FA Secure” first), go to your SSO Settings link from your SSO dropdown in upper right…
Click Security, and below “Your Active Sessions” box you’ll see the “Logout All Other Places” box.
If you don’t want to close your Current Session, but all other sessions previously logged into, check the boxes for sessions you wish to close, then click the Red Box, which will now list the number of chosen sessions you will be logged out of.
