If you see the message "You need to authorize this integration in order to use it. Please sign in to your Google account and authorize this integration" while accessing a Google-related Canvas assignment, follow the steps below to resolve the issue. If problems persist, please submit a Canvas Help Ticket. Here’s how to do that: How to Report a Problem in Canvas

It is recommend trying these steps from an incognito or private browsing window, if possible. Google allows users to sign into multiple accounts (work, school, personal, etc.), which can complicate the authorization process. Using an incognito session gives you a fresh start, allowing you to sign into Canvas and Google with just the correct account.

You will first select the Authorize option and a new window will pop-up

You will see that in the window that pops-up that a personal email account is listed in the Email or Phone box.

If the window disappears within seconds, please click the Authorize option again

You will then need to clear your personal email out of that text box and input your CISD student email. For example, example@studentmail.conroeisd.net then select Next, which will guide you through the sign in process.
