Host Tools During a Teams Meeting
Below are some of the settings available to the Host during a Teams meeting.
Chat:
See the in-meeting Chat conversation.
People:
See list of participants. This will also be where you approve participants to enter the meeting from the lobby. You may mute all participants at once from this tab, or individual participants. If you need to remove someone from a meeting, you may do that here.
Raise:
This is where you or participants can raise their hand.
React:
The host and participants may use the React emojis during the meeting as needed.
View:
Adjust your screen layout using this tab.
Rooms:
Here is where you create and start breakout rooms. Participants can be manually or automatically assigned to a room.
Apps:
You can add approved apps to be used within Microsoft Teams meetings, such as Polls.

Record and Transcribe:
Start recording your meeting, if needed.
Meeting info:
Quick access to the Join link, Meeting ID, and Passcode
Video Effects and Settings:
Adjust camera settings
Audio Settings:
Adjust speaker and microphone settings
Language and Speech:
Turn on live captions. Live captions can be translated from the meeting spoken language to a language the participant selects live!

Additional settings.
Camera:
Turn on or off your camera. You may also adjust your camera settings.
Mic:
Turn on or off your mic. You may also adjust your speakers and microphone settings.
Share:
Share your screen, window, start a Microsoft Whiteboard, or share content from a document camera. You may choose to include your device’s sound, if needed.
Leave:
You may choose to leave the meeting, or if you are the host, end your meeting.
