If you have a Chromebook with a ChromeOS lower than 114 120 please follow these steps to Update the Chromebook |

If your campus recently received Chromebooks they may have updated to ChromeOS 119 or ChromeOS 120 126 during processing but this is not the Long Term Support ChromeOS Version for Chromebooks and your other Chromebooks on campus should do not need to be updated to ChromeOS 119 or 120. | ||||||

ChromeOS 119 and 120 have a known bug that does not allow students that need Spanish Speech to Text to use them for 126. As long as your Chromebooks are at ChromeOS 120 they are good for all testing purposes. |

Verifying Which ChromeOS a Chromebook has is very easy to do |

Make sure that you are on the Main Login Screen for the Chromebook. |

On the keyboard of the device press Alt + V at the same time. |

On the upper right hand corner of the screen you will see the ChromeOS Version Appear along with some additional info about the Chromebook including it’s serial number. |

To Remove this info from the screen of the Chromebook simply press Alt + V again. |
